The mixer utilizes two standard Hittite M double balanced mixer cells and a 90 degree hybrid O fabricated in a GaAs MESFET process. A low R frequency quadrature hybrid was used to produce a I , 1 GHz USB IF output. This product is a much smaller S R alternative to hybrid style Image Reject Mixers and S E Single Sideband Upconverter assemblies. The X HMC775LC5 eliminates the need for wire bonding I and allows the use of surface mount manufacturing M B techniques.
