The EVAL-ADXL375Z has two sets of VVIIOO U1U1 SDA 0.1 inch spaced vias, for population of a 4-pin and 5-pin header, GGNNDD 334755CZ SDO for access to all power and signal lines. The vias or headers CCSS INT1 allow the evaluation board to be attached to a prototyping VVSS board (breadboard) or attached to the PCB in an existing INT2 11 CC system. Four holes are provided for mechanical attachment C2C2 pofr othcees EsoVrA isL -rAeqDuXirLed37 f5oZr ctoom thme uanppiclaictiaotino nto. Athne epxatretr. nal host 11748-002 Figure 1. Physical Layout The dimensions of the EVAL-ADXL375Z are 20 mm × 20 mm EVALUATION BOARD SCHEMATIC with mounting holes set 15 mm × 15 mm at the corners of the printed circuit board (PCB). ADXL375 TOP VIEW CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION (Not to Scale) SCL/SCLK The schematic of the EVAL-ADXL375Z is shown in Figure 2. See the ADXL375 data sheet for configuration of the VDD I/O 1 14 13 SDA/SDI/SDIO accelerometer after it is connected to the application host C3 2 12 SADLTO /ADDRESS processor. 0.1µF 3 11 The PCB layout of the EVAL-ADXL375Z is shown in Figure 1. +x The EVAL-ADXL375Z has three factory installed capacitors for GND 4 +y 10 +z bypass: two 100 nF capacitors and a 10 μF capacitor. C1 and C2 C2 C1 10µF 0.1µF 5 9 are V bypass capacitors to reduce analog supply noise and C3, S located between V and GND, is provided to reduce digital VS 6 7 8 INT1 DD I/O clocking noise. CS INT2 11748-001 HANDLING CONSIDERATIONS Figure 2. Schematic The EVAL-ADXL375Z is not reverse polarity protected. Reversing the V or V supply and GND pins can cause damage to the S DD I/O ADXL375. Dropping the EVAL-ADXL375Z on a hard surface can generate several thousand g’s of acceleration, which may exceed the data sheet absolute maximum limits. See the ADXL375 data sheet for more information. PLEASE SEE THE LAST PAGE FOR AN IMPORTANT WARNING AND LEGAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Rev. 0 | Page 1 of 2
