描述: The relationship between Projects Unlimited’s Aerospace & Electronics division and PUI Audio is uncommon, but undeniably effective. From an operations standpoint, PUI Corporate supports Aerospace and PUI Audio with common functions to reduce costs, occasionally working together on special projects. However, PUI’s Aerospace and Audio divisions provide distinctly different products to very different markets. We began in 1940 in Dayton, OH, near Dayton International Airport and Wright Patterson Air Force Base, as Wyse Laboratories, manufacturing scale model aircraft, equipment, and instruments. Eventually, Wyse Labs began selling surplus military inventory back to the government to fulfill its spare parts requirements. As these military electronics became more complex, in 1951, Projects Unlimited, Inc. was born. Soon, our engineering capabilities and growing reputation as a highly reliable aircraft and missile systems products provider led PUI into larger facilities and joint development projects with many aerospace customers, producing solid-state devices, relays, cables, harnesses, and test equipment. By 1972, PUI had entered the field of solid-state buzzers, introducing the first “circuit board mountable” audio devices and a new term to the industry — the audio indicator. By 1978, continued growth led to the establishment of PUI Audio. Today, PUI Audio is the world-class English-speaking audio leader, unparalleled in global coverage, products, and service. We offer medical, automotive, industrial, OEM, or consumer products––North America’s broadest line of audio indicators, speakers, microphones, transducers, and other products, proudly crafted to the highest possible standards. Projects Unlimited, Inc. is an ISO 9001 / AS 9100 engineering-based electronics contract manufacturer and solutions provider. We service military defense, aerospace and commercial aerospace industries, specializing in low volume, high mix electronic assemblies. Not only do we offer design engineering services in addition to build to print, we also provide solutions for test equipment, obsolescence needs and availability for lower-priced, readily available substitutions as well as feedback on product manufacturability.
